Since the regiment’s exemplary service as a first responder to the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on 9/11, the dream of a lasting monument to The Old Guard is at a critical point, thanks to the pro bono contributions and volunteer work of friends of our nation’s oldest Army regiment. It now requires the financial support of patriots to transform the dream into bronze and granite at Ft. Myer.
