The Old Guard Monument Foundation cherishes the memory of Dave Mungenast Sr., a former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces, and founding member of the Old Guard Monument Board, whose generosity and counsel were inspirational; and Eric Kruger, a former Old Guard Executive Officer, killed in action in Iraq, whose dedication to the Monument and encouragement to the Sculptor were crucial to our progress.
